120 New Lawsuits Filed Against Disgraced Mogul, Sean “Diddy” Combs
The once highly respected music mogul, Sean “Diddy” Combs, remains behind bars as his legal team prepares for another bid at making bail. As he’s awaiting trial on a range of charges including federal racketeering, sex trafficking, and transportation to engage in prostitution, a flurry of civil lawsuits have been filed against him alleging abusive conduct. The new lawsuits, nearly 120 of them, accuse Combs of various allegations of sexual misconduct. Some of the allegations include "violent sexual assault or rape," "facilitated sex with a controlled substance," "dissemination of video recordings" and "sexual abuse of minors" among other offenses.
During a press release on October 1st, renowned Texas-based lawyer Tony Buzbee announced that 120 individual lawsuits have been filed against the disgraced Bad Boys Entertainment founder.
Buzbee shares that the alleged assaults took place between 2000 and 2020 and span a number of states including New York, California, and Florida. Some of the allegations are reported to have happened during one of Combs’ infamous “White Parties.” Prosecutors in New York have announced that the allegations against Combs are highly focused on his white parties and his alleged freak-offs ––parties were sexual encounters involving prostitutes and non-consensual participants engaged in various sexual acts.
The new lawsuits also say that some of the allegations took place at Combs’ album release events and holiday parties. The details of the press release have shocked many as the allegations come from victims young and old. The youngest accuser was only nine when the misconduct happened while the oldest abuser was 39.
During his press release, Buzbee shared, “The biggest secret in the entertainment industry, that really wasn’t a secret at all, has finally been revealed to the world. The wall of silence has now been broken.”
Even more alarming was the announcement of a list of individuals who were also named in these lawsuits. Buzbee shared, "We will expose the enablers who enabled this conduct behind closed doors. We will pursue this matter no matter who the evidence implicates."
He adds, “It's a long list already, but because of the nature of this case, we are going to make damn sure that we're right before we do that. But the names that we're going to name ... are names that will shock you."
This new flurry of lawsuits is the latest notch in the belt that’s extinguishing Combs’ once revered public image. Amid these lawsuits, Combs continues to remain in custody at the Special Housing Unit at Brooklyn's Metropolitan Detention Center. His attorneys are continuing to fight to have him relocated to a different facility. His legal team cites concerns over his safety and security at the facility. While Combs and his legal team have not responded to the new allegations, they have vehemently denied all allegations he is currently awaiting trial for.
