Last week, NFL quarterback Dak Prescott filed an extortion lawsuit against a woman who alleges a sexual assault incident between her and Prescott in February of 2017.

The lawsuit filed in Collin County, Texas accuses Victoria Baileigh Shores of fabricating a false sexual assault accusation against Prescott, allegedly in an attempt to extort $100 million from him.

On January 16, Shores and her attorneys sent a demand letter to Prescott’s representatives claiming that she had suffered “mental anguish” as a result of the alleged assault. The letter demanded $100 million in compensation, threatening to press charges and disclose the allegations publicly if not met by February 16.

As reported by USA Today, Prescott in response filed the lawsuit asserting, “Shores’s actions in the seven years since the alleged assault are consistent with being involved with only consensual actions with Mr. Prescott.” The lawsuit also mentioned Prescott's cooperation with authorities regarding the attempted extortion.

According to statements from his attorney and legal documents, Prescott has firmly denied any involvement in non-consensual activities and refutes all allegations made by Shores. He is pursuing damages totaling to $1 million.
