Tyquian Terrel Bowman, better known by his stage name Quando Rondo, pleaded guilty to a federal drug conspiracy charge on Tuesday in his hometown of Savannah, Georgia. The 25-year-old rapper, who rose to fame with hit singles like "I Remember" and "ABG," admitted to one count of conspiracy to possess and distribute marijuana in U.S. District Court. His guilty plea follows an indictment last December that charged him with conspiring to possess and distribute various drugs, including methamphetamine, fentanyl, cocaine, and marijuana.

U.S. District Judge R. Stan Baker accepted Bowman’s plea and scheduled his sentencing for December 12. Speaking to reporters outside the courthouse, Bowman expressed regret for his actions. “I really want to give an apology to the city of Savannah,” he said, according to WTOC-TV. “And I want to give an apology to my family and friends, loved ones, and most of all my daughters for taking all my family and all my loved ones through this stressful point.”

Bowman's legal troubles aren't limited to the federal case. He still faces state-level gang and drug charges in Chatham County Superior Court. However, those proceedings have been put on hold indefinitely, pending the resolution of the federal charges.

Quando Rondo, who signed with Atlantic Records following the success of his early singles, released his debut album, QPac, in 2020. The album reached No. 14 on Billboard's Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. His most recent album, Recovery, was released last year.
