Rachel “Raquel” Leviss, known for her appearance on the reality show "Vanderpump Rules," has filed a lawsuit against Tom Sandoval and Ariana Madix for a series of alleged offenses including revenge porn, eavesdropping, invasion of privacy, and intentional infliction of emotional distress.
Leviss filed documents on Thursday, seeking unspecified damages after Sandoval allegedly recorded a sex tape between the two of them via Facetime.
Sandoval, who was in a relationship with fellow cast member Madix at the time, allegedly recorded the intimate FaceTime call without her knowledge or consent. The leaked video became the focal point of their cheating scandal since it surfaced in March 2023 and ultimately led Madix to ending her years long relationship with Sandoval.
Leviss is suing Madix, alleging that Madix's reaction to the recording and its aftermath contributed to the emotional distress and harm Leviss experienced due to the scandal. Documents further assert that Madix personally acquired the videos and distributed them without Leviss’ permission.
Despite Leviss not including Bravo, NBCUniversal, Andy Cohen, or other Vanderpump producers in the lawsuit, she referenced them multiple times in the filed documents.
The lawsuit claims that while Bravo and Evolution benefited from increased viewership and cast members enjoyed newfound fame and opportunities, Leviss endured humiliation and vilification in silence. Her career prospects suffered, and her reputation was severely damaged, leaving her feeling like a shadow of her former self.
